Strawbale gardening

I’d never heard of strawbale gardening until The Path Across published a post about it. The linked to this site, that explains it in more detail. It’s an interesting idea. You prepare the bales a certain way, then plant right in the bale. They’re already “raised beds,” which makes them easier to access, you’re not likely to get many weeds, and at the end of the season you can break them down and add them to your compost.

It’s tempting to try it, just to see how it works.
